Wages Ripped Off?

Most non-union companies can’t help themselves from stealing wages that belong to workers. If this has happened to you, here’s some advice:

  • Any claim for unpaid wages, prevailing wages, or overtime depends on how well you can explain what you are owed. It will be your word vs. the boss. That means you’ll need a record of your hours, where you worked, and other facts.

  • If you were on a rated job you may also need notes about what you did on the job.

  • If you are an “apprentice” and your employer did not provide classroom instruction, you may be entitled to journey level wages.

  • Call us at 617-522-0520 or 603-693-1000 and ask for an Organizer, or e-mail the Organizing Department.

Keep your own records of your time and what you did.
A “daily planner” or calendar works great!

Your boss will have phony records, you’ll have the truth!
