On Tuesday and Wednesday (4/7 and 4/8) the first representation elections were held under the recent election neutrality agreement between the Area Trades Council, 1199SEIU and Caritas Christi at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. The Area Trades Council successfully added bio-med techs and telecommunications workers to its skilled trades unit which now totals 35 workers.  In its elections ATC's partner 1199 SEIU won its three units - Service; Clerical and Medical Technicians - by a 3 to 1 margin. 

Carney Hospital is the next facility subject to the agreement.  DC 35 members with family members, friends, or acquaintances employed at the Carney are urged to contact the Organizing Department.
