Stand up for Good Local Jobs: A Vigil for the Unemployed
Thursday, December 8th @ 3 pm
Boston Marriott Copley Place
110 Huntington Avenue in Boston
Please join DC 35 Members, the Greater Boston Labor Council and Community Labor United for a vigil for the unemployed.
The Boston Copley Marriott is currently renovating 1100 of their rooms with a contractor that employs a largely out of state workforce, while many of our members are unemployed. These workers are being paid sub-standards wages and benefits. We call on the Boston Copley Marriott hotel to be a responsible actor in our community that respects area wage standards and creates local jobs for local residents who want to get back to work.
